About Harmonics

  • Harmonics was founded in 2023, with the goal of providing vocalists with the opportunity to work closely together to develop the skills needed for a cappella performances, with challenging but supportive multi-part repertoire.

  • Harmonics is a natural complement to other vocal programs at the studio — many students are also enrolled in Honor Choir, Berks Vocal Arts, or private voice lessons. The a cappella format develops a uniquely transferable skill set: learning to listen, tune, and blend with precision when there's nothing but voices to rely on.

  • Schedule: Harmonics meets weekly from Sept through May. The studio is closed for major holidays.

  • Location: Offered at one of our studio locations in Boyertown, PA

  • Grades: 7-12

  • A part of Collective Harmony, our umbrella term for our vocal ensembles. View current schedule, pricing, and registration details for all of our vocal programs.

  • Performance Opportunities: This class performs several times per year at studio events (such as the Snowfall Serenade and our Annual Cabaret) and in the community.

  • Performance Attire: Black pants, black shirt (or Honor Choir shirt), black shoes and socks

What Do We Do In Harmonics?

  • Perform contemporary a cappella arrangements of popular and modern songs—learning to bring a full, rich sound to well-known repertoire using only voices

  • Master tight vocal harmonies by developing the listening skills and tuning precision that come from performing without any instrumental support

  • Incorporate choreography and stage movement into performances, learning to integrate physical expression with vocal production at the same time

  • Build confidence in solo and small group moments—stepping forward within a supportive ensemble where everyone shares the spotlight

  • Learn performance skills including mic technique and stage presence to connect with the audience

  • Explore creative expression through interpretation of contemporary material, making artistic choices as an ensemble about dynamics, phrasing, and style

  • Develop teamwork and ensemble coordination—learning to lead, follow, and respond in real time to the singers around you

  • Foster a tight-knit group of dedicated singers who challenge and support each other throughout the season

  • The Harmonics group reviews music outside the studio during a rehearsal break.

My daughter has been with the studio for 11 years! The instructors are exceptional and treat the children warmly while helping them reach their full potential. Whether it be vocals or instruments, this is the place to maximize your chops

Ms. Trish is a wonderful educator and mentor! She has a beautiful studio with many talented educators that focus on the children and honing their talents while also building their confidence! I can’t say anything negative we have loved this studio from the first class my daughter has taken and she will continue here until she goes to college!
