About Mary Lee Slemmer


Mary Lee Slemmer has been teaching music for several decades in many venues. Public school teaching for the Perkiomen Valley School District, as well as teaching private lessons and working at a homeschooling co-op have been her musical focus. Other aspects of teaching music that she loves include contra dancing and other forms of early American dance.

More recently, Mary Lee was involved with theater at St. Peter’s Players in Malvern. In addition, Mary Lee has been a soloist and section leader for two churches in the greater Philadelphia area. Mrs. Slemmer has participated in graduate studies in music education through West Chester University and Villanova University’s Summer Music program.

She plans on singing and being involved in music for a very long time, as it is her life’s work. She is the mother of 2 grown children, and 2 grown step children, all with interests in music and movement.
